Unique Elements
These rubies are the most rare on earth – natural with medium red color from Burma! You have to see them in person to appreciate why ruby is the “King of all Gems.”

Ruby Ruby is called “the king of gems” in Sanskrit. Rubies have obtained the highest per-carat price of any colored stone. Ruby is a variety of corundum, a mineral species that also includes sapphire. Rubies range from orangey red to pure red to purplish red. Trace elements of chromium cause ruby’s red color. Ruby is the July birthstone and the stone for the 15th and 40th anniversaries.

Old Mine Cut The Old Mine Cut, dating from the 1700s, refers to squarish-shaped diamonds with a small table and a larger culet than the round Old European Cut diamonds. It is extremely difficult to cut a round diamond by hand, and the 1874 invention of the bruting machine in particular gave rise to the Old European Cut round shape that predates the modern round brilliant cut. The Asscher and Cushion cuts can both be either Old Mine or modern variants of the cut, with less open culets and less of facets.

White Gold White Gold use in jewelry is first associated with Art Deco, as yellow gold was out of fashion and it is an alternative to platinum, which had become increasingly more expensive after 1915. 18K gold is softer than platinum but has more than enough strength for everyday wear in fine jewelry, particularly in earrings, bracelets and necklaces.
