Unique Elements
This tiger’s eye Van Cleef and Arpels diamond ring goes with anything. Pair it with the coordinating ‘Philippine’ diamond and gold ring in our collection for a stacked look, wear it with all beige for a very Sharon Stone in Basic Instinct day look or let it sparkle against a gold sweater or dress at night.

Single Cut Single cut diamonds, also called melee, are round brilliant cuts that feature fewer than the standard number of facets, typically 16-18 facets instead of the standard 57 to 58. Diamonds of smaller sizes can be cut as single cuts because having fewer facets doesn’t noticeably affect the diamond’s appearance.

Tiger's Eye Tiger’s-eye is a quartz that ranges from brownish yellow to brown to reddish brown. Its fibrous structure causes the gem to exhibit the phenomena of chatoyancy, or the appearance of a band of light across the stone that looks like the narrowed eye of a cat.

Van Cleef and Arpels Established in 1906, Van Cleef and Arpels has maintained its flagship in the Place Vendôme in Paris ever since. Known for iconic motifs including flowers, animals, and fairies, the house has designed for the Duchess of Windsor, Grace Kelly, Elizabeth Taylor and Eva Peron, among many others.  VCA won the grand prize at the International Exposition of Modern Industrial and Decorative Arts in 1925 and established itself as one of the leading houses of the Art Deco period. In 1933, VCA patented its "Mystery Setting,” a technique where each stone is faceted onto invisible gold rails less than two-tenths of a millimeter thick. Each mystery setting can require 300 hours of work per piece or more, and only a few are produced each year. Signature collections include Alhambra, created in 1968.
