Vhernier Co-founded by Angela Camurati in 1984, the Italian house specializes in architectural shapes, diamond pavé setting and colored gems. The firm produces in the famed Valenza gold region in Italy, where Bulgari's workshops are also housed.

Pavé Set The technique of pavé (“pa-vay,”) setting involves setting small diamonds closely together with as little visible prongs or metal holding the stones, giving the impression of seamless sparkle. Pavé setting dates back to the 1700s with increased popularity in the 1900s through the present.

Round Brilliant-Cut The Round Brilliant Cut dates back to 1919, when Marcel Tolkowsky calculated a formula for proportional diamond design to maximize fire, brilliance and wearability, published as “Diamond Design: A Study of the Reflection and Refraction of Light in Diamond.” A round brilliant diamond can also be called a full cut diamond if it features the cutting standard of 57 or 58 facets.
