Unique Elements
Picture this turquoise and diamond flower as your ‘belt’ on a gown, or sparkling at the lapel of a suit. This is an exceptionally fine turquoise cabochon and everyone will want to stop and talk to you about it.

Turquoise Turquoise is a semi-translucent to opaque aggregate mineral that ranges from the highly desirable robin's egg blue to sky blue to green. Turquoise can feature dark recessed markings, known as matrix, that are remnants of its host rock. Turquoise is one of the most ancient and universal gemstones, found in ancient Egyptian, Chinese and Aztec jewelry. Turquoise is the December birthstone and the 11th anniversary stone.

Cabochon A cabochon is a gem which has been shaped and polished but not faceted, typically with a domed top and flat bottom. Cabochons are often cut for opaque stones, for softer translucent gems as well as to highlight phenomenon such as asterism “star” and chatoyancy “cat’s eye”, as these would not show in faceted stones. The 'sugarloaf' cabochon cut features a 4-sided pyramid shape.

David Webb David Webb founded his eponymous company in 1948 in New York, becoming known for whimsical animal motifs including zebra, snakes, tigers and panthers among others.
